Day 4: A character you love that everyone hates:

Hmm. Simple yet not simple. Characters I love that everyone, or well I think everyone hates are the general Capitol-ians. I mean yes, I do see how annoying they can be, with the whole air of superiority, but I love them In fact, in general, I love the capitol people because of their whimsical silly natures, which is so filled with the silliest and the most outrageous. I think its their outrageousness that I find so darn entertaining. 

I mean with Katniss’ entourage and Effie Trinkett, Plutarch - they are so god damn silly sometimes, I find it funny. And perhaps, the whole idea that they foretell what happens to humanity when greed is norm and indulgence is everything they live by. I guess I love them, because in many ways, they are victims of their circumstances, as much as those in the districts are. Just not in ways we can fully sympathize with.

2 words: Katniss Everdeen.

I’m sorry, I know so many people adore her and want to be her. Don’t get me wrong, she’s an amazingly strongwilled and powerful character, so full of heart and strength, beauty and grace, innocence and purity in her. I love her with all my heart.

But I hate her. Really. I was so annoyed I called my sister in Canada (all the way from Singapore) just to rant about her. She’s selfish - her undying need to save everyone and like take things into her own hands, rather than fully thinking of the ramifications of her actions. So superbly frustrating. And many ways, self-depracating to, which makes me dislike her even more. It’s like listening to that annoying insecure bitch in school go on and on and on and on and on about how she’s not good enough. YES YOU’RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH DEAL WITH IT, OR GET BETTER BITCH. 

Okay but in all seriousness, Katniss is amazing. I wouldn’t have been able to go through the Hunger Games, let alone a second one. But if she stopped for one second to think with others than for or against them, I would like her far more. Oh and her indecisiveness with Peeta and Gale - seriously?

You’re not Bella Swan, you’re Everdeen, Katniss Everdeen of District 12. I expect better behavior from you.

This is an easy one. All Hungergarians (aahahaha) would feel the same way towards this bitch: President Coin. She’s extremely manipulative, and she makes my insides burn in anger. She reminds me of a Panem version of Professor Umbridge - cold hearted, manipulative, condescending and always trying to put up this front like she’s only making decisions that are the best and for the good of others - nothing at all to do with her own personal ambitions.

I’m starting this, with NOOOO idea of whether or not I can keep up with 30 days consecutively but I’m way to excited for the film, so LETS GO.

Day 1: Your favourite Character:

I think throughout the series, my favourite character would really have to be Peeta, for his heart and his love. However, if I go book by book it actually varies. For Hunger Games, my favourite character would be Cinna. For Catching Fire, Finnick Odair. For MockingJay, it’s a little bit Peeta, a little bit Johanna, a little bit of Boggs.

But if I had to pick just one, I guess Peeta would be my favourite of them all, after all he’s been through with his parents, I think there’s a great amount of respect due his way.
